POST ELEVEN - A RAINY MONDAY

Now a lesson in what to do, when there ain't much to do, because the sky ain't blue but to stop you feeling blue toooo. Well when you are playing with the big kids in a city like Sydney you have the very lucky privilege of being able to find some amazing exhibitions knocking about at your city museums! Look what we happened to stubble across.. no big deal (a very big deal and we had been dying to go but the sunshine and sparkling water beaches had prevented us) Picasso!!!

POST TEN - BUTCHER WOULD

hello Sailor

Now what is an unruly, ridiculous, little bit silly way to spend your big birthday bash when you turn the dreaded THREE OHH?

Leave it to Butcher to blow all expectations out of the water (pun intended)! Rent a fricken House Boat... And get this, the only training provided was via DVD. Yup and then (apparently legally) a reckless bunch of 10 are let loose on the choppy waters of The Hawkesbury River! May I repeat, if not only to reinforce my point... 10 twenty somethings (with a sprinkling of 30) let loose on the open waters with a ship full of beer and a BBQ with no more training than a wee DVD viewing moments prior to sailing! Starboard! All aboard! Happy 30th Butchface! THANK YOU!!! Ahoy captain!

He may or may not have tried to steer us astray a few times... But we live to tell the tale so alls well that ends well... Of what I can remember that is... UFO?

POST SEVEN - THE TRANSFORMATION

AUSTRALIA DAY
(very seriously messy)

On this momentous day there is no mucking around to be had! The Auzzies take their national day of pride VERY seriously and it is a rarity not to see every man and his dog dressed up for the occasion and then dowsed in booze and fed up to the brim with a "put another sazzler on the barby" (BBQ) on the beach!

How to blend in for AUSTRALIA DAY: Take 1x Argentine, fill him full of beer and BBQ (not hard to get an Argentine to indulge in these two things), get him to say "mate" every other word and then basically all you have to do is slap him silly with blue, white and red!

MAAAAATE! HE IS PRIMED AND READY!!!

POST SIX AND A HALF!!! THE FRIENDS WE MADE AT THE AQUARIUM

POST SIX - ESPECIAL PARA SANTINO Y EMILIO (AND FOR BIG KIDS LIKE ME!)

"BIG FISH, little fish, put it in a box" - it's not just another "sweet dance move" on the D.Floor (along the likes of "pushing the trolley/grabbing the jars/spreading the butter and mowing the lawn") BUT also the Sydney Aquarium! Deep sea diving in my clothes! No breathing apparatus or cage to escape from the sharks needed! Highlight: Funny looking creature called a "Dugong" that mariners tales tell they believed it was some kind of mermaid or should I say in the words of Zoolander "Merman!" A big kids adventure and a big tick in the box under "Sydneys sightseeing must do's". Heck, I even got the key ring - it's what dreams are made of!
