Jaun is cheeky. Quite cheeky.
I didn't know at first as we have a different mother tongue, and although I knew he was whip smart and always ready with a smile or joke, it wasn't until Australia day 2014 that I really saw his cheekiness come to the fore.
We were celebrating on a rooftop bar in the Rocks, Sydney, and had been enjoying the drinks and music in the sun for the better part of the day and into the evening. The rooftop was busy when we arrived, and by early evening was elbow to elbow - though we had managed to carve ourselves out a spot standing around a makeshift barstool come table next to an island of potted plants and palms.
There was a slight breeze blowing through cooling the January heat which was welcome, and helped to disguise Jaun's game of slyly using his hand to bring a long palm frond down onto peoples heads, into peoples drinks or anything else that was within striking distance!...
Most people were unaware Jaun was controlling the plant - they simply seemed confused and moved away, and it was probably only my laughter and stares that gave anything away... In the end, an angryish punter confronted Jaun whose reaction was only one of amazement that it had taken so long for anyone to realise what he'd been doing, which immediately defused the situation and we all laughed together as Jaun looked for more ways to cause mischief...
Definitely my favourite Argentinian!! Much love to you my friend.
